Campaign aims to cut water bills for Surrey residents

Water saving devices are being fitted into homes across Surrey to help households reduce their consumption. More than 1,000 homes in Redhill and Merstham are to benefit from the pilot Tap into Savings scheme.
Water saving devices include timers, shower adaptors and toilet cistern conversion kits.
In addition, neighbourhood groups are being set up to meet regularly and share ideas about saving water and energy.
The scheme is a partnership between Sutton and East Surrey Water, Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and the Environment Agency.
Alison Murphy, from Sutton and East Surrey Water, said: "We have a duty to protect our resources and plan for a future when there might be dry years. "
